Plasma Control System Development Engineer(J17906)

This position will involve in-depth participation in the full lifecycle R&D of the Plasma Control System (PCS), from requirements analysis and algorithm development to software implementation and on-site commissioning. You will have the opportunity to participate in building control systems for our fusion devices, covering requirements analysis, algorithm development, real-time software programming, and on-site commissioning.

What you'll do:

● Participate in the design, construction, and optimization of the plasma control system, including hardware design and software development.

● Engage in the design of communication interfaces, display systems, and external interface logic for the control system, ensuring stable operation and a user-friendly interface.

● Develop and optimize plasma control algorithms, including but not limited to magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equilibrium control, instability suppression, and discharge waveform optimization.

● Implement, integrate, and test control software modules in a real-time or near-real-time environment.

● Conduct research on the latest technologies in the plasma field, carry out forward-looking experimental studies on plasma control strategies, and promote technological innovation.

Who we’re looking for:

● Education and Background

○ Master’s or Ph.D. in Plasma Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Control Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computational Physics, or a related field.

○ Solid understanding of plasma physics and control theory, particularly in the context of fusion devices.

● Technical Skills

○ Experience in developing or deploying real-time control systems for complex physical systems.

○ Familiarity with control system frameworks like EPICS, Tango, or similar distributed control systems.

○ Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

● Experience：At least 3 years of experience in plasma control, real-time system development, or fusion-related engineering projects.
