What you'll do:

● Lead subsystem and integrated design for the fusion torus or other plasma experimental devices:magnet (TF, PF, CS) systems, vacuum vessel (VV) and pressure-boundary components, gravity supports, in-vessel remote-handling (RH) compatible drives, divertor cassettes, first-wall (FW) panels, etc.; deliver full-cycle engineering design, FEM/EM-calculations, commissioning and qualification testing.

● Responsible for mechanical design, integration, 3-D clash & tolerance analysis, and thermo-mechanical/EM calculations of all fusion diagnostics: magnetic pickups (Mirnov, Rogowski, saddle coils), absolutely-calibrated spectrometers (VUV, visible, X-ray), bolometry & radiation-power arrays, ECE, reflectometry & microwave interferometry, lithium-beam, CXRS, NPA and neutral-beam duct diagnostics—including in-vessel casings, RH-compatible actuators, waveguides/feed-throughs, vacuum barriers, HV insulation, etc.

● Responsible for structural design, thermo-mechanical/EM analysis, commissioning and fatigue/pressure testing of mechanical systems for plasma heating & current drive: ICRH antenna, ECRH upper launcher, LHCD multijunction, NBI beamline & calorimeter, and associated vacuum transmission lines.

● Responsible for mechanical installation, metrology alignment, leak-check, in-situ calibration and final commissioning of VV extensions, cryostat penetrations, gravity/keyed supports, divertor locking systems, and other tokamak-bound hardware.

Who we’re looking for:

● Mechanical engineering or related field with a Master's degree or higher.

● Proficient in mechanical design, structural analysis, and integration of host systems with other subsystems.

● Familiar with mechanical integration and testing in vacuum, cryogenic, and high thermal load environments.

● Skilled in solving complex engineering problems, with strong interdisciplinary teamwork and communication skills.
