Quality Analyst, SoundOn, ID Market - Trust and Safety

The Quality team for GenAI & Emerging Products supports more than 10 global products across ByteDance. Our mission is to design and implement online risk and safety strategies that protect our community and enable sustainable product growth. We work closely with business stakeholders, Policy, PBPs and moderation teams to build effective content safety frameworks, ensuring policy guidelines are accurately applied and risks are reduced.

As part of this team, you will help shape the safety foundation of ByteDance’s fastest-growing products, driving quality, compliance and user trust.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct quality assessment work by ensuring and evaluating the quality delivery of the content reviewed

- Deliver training and calibration sessions for the content moderation teams to ensure that operational policies are being applied consistently and drive performance improvements

- Provide quality reports and RCAs to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent quality measurement across the operations, by also developing and implementing actionable solutions, process enhancements, and preventative measures

- Collaborate with the Music Ops Team on ad-hoc and moderation-related initiatives

- Support Customer Support Team with required escalations or verification requests

- Work independently and with stakeholders to maintain high performance standards across all projects and markets, developing best practices for quality assurance

- Moderate immediate queues, ensure quality control for key releases and maintain clear communication with the Music Ops Team

- Provide support in accordance with business priorities

Minimum Qualification(s)

- 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance / audit / investigation role in a Content Quality / Trust & Safety environment

- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced environment

- Highly organized, able to work under minimal supervision, with an eye for detail and the aptitude to make ongoing improvements in your everyday work

- Has experience supporting moderation teams and strong experience in working with cross-functional stakeholders globally

- Comfortable working in a high-tempo and rapidly evolving landscape, including adapting to new challenges, policies and tools

- Has knowledge of AI tools usage and interest in continued upskilling in this area

Preferred Qualification(s)

- Bachelor's degree preferred

- Knowing the latest music trends and having good knowledge of the global music industry

- Good understanding of digital music streaming platforms and knowledge of labels/artists/genres is preferred

- Music-related internship/full-time experience would be preferred

- Resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role
