Strategist (research)

职位描述

1. Compile comprehensive macro and strategy research reports to analyze market outlook and identify investment ideas.

2. Monitor and analyze key global drivers—including monetary and fiscal policies, geopolitics, and industrial trends—and assess their implications for offshore capital markets and Chinese assets listed overseas.

3. Provide trading/investment strategies from a buy-side perspective, present in seminars and conferences, provide in-house training, as well as perform other research duties like database creation and information search.

4. Conduct meetings and provide investment recommendations to clients, predominantly institutional investors.

5. Other ad hoc duties assigned by the management.

任职要求

1. Education or work background in economics, mathematics and computer science.

2. Strong grounding in economic theory, policy frameworks, and financial market dynamics.

3. 3-5 years of strategy/macro research or investment-related experience at a sell-side/buy-side/offshore financial institution. Familiarity with HK/US market structures and ecosystems, with a proven research framework and track record of published work (preferred). Candidate with excellent academic background and less experience will also be considered.

4. Fast learner, can quickly extract the essence of business.

5. Clear logic, strong analysis and expression skills.

6. Strong willingness to learn new trends and new technologies in emerging industries around the world.

7. Strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to efficient and fast-paced investment research.

8. Diligent, practical, passion for investment research and challenges.

9. Strong listening and reading skills in English, able to understand and master all English materials, including various English academic journals, and video conferences, etc.
