Field Application Scientist, Bioinformatics(J19800)

A self-motivated bioinformatician with experience in next-generation sequencing, systems biology, and/or multi-omics. You are excited about engaging with current and potential customers. You are eager to help build a digital workspace with a direct impact on academic research, clinical pathology, pharmaceutical R&D, and human health. The successful candidate will function as a liaison between our customers, the product team, the computational biology team, and the R&D team. You will be responsible for market development and technical support. You will report to the Vice President of Global but will work closely with other company leaders to ensure company success.

Responsibilities:

• Discuss product offerings with potential and current customers;

• Provide application support for pre-and post-sales activities for NGS bioinformatics;

• Compare and implement state of the art methods in single cell sequencing, NGS, and spatial biology pipelines to support customer needs;

• Analyze spatial omics data and work with our scientists to answer specific customer-driven biological questions;

• Provide expert technical guidance and customer support in the design and analysis of experiments;

• Develop a custom bioinformatics solution to achieve customer objectives;

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts detailing key methodologies and results;

• Troubleshoot and maintain bioinformatics pipelines, the cloud analysis platform, and software.

任职要求

• Ph.D. degree with 2+ years (or MS degree with 5+ years) of working experience in the industry in the field of systems biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, or equivalent;

• Previous customer-facing experience;

• Strong technical knowledge of NGS applications and bioinformatics, single cell sequencing and spatial omics experience strongly preferred;

• Solid computational skills and a deep understanding of omics data and its analysis;

• Extensive experience in NGS, systems biology, and analysis of large-scale omics datasets;

• Proficient in either R or Python;

• Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA;

• Excellent personal and communication skills, including solid presentation and writing skills;

• Must be self-motivated, a quick learner, dedicated to achieving excellence, and love to take on new challenges.

• Fluent in English, native or near-native fluency preferred
